Many of you have expressed interest in a discussion around SB 79, legislation effective this July that mandates upzoning for high-density, mixed-income housing within 0.5 miles of major transit stops (TODs). Join us for a virtual discussion, where we will hear an overview of existing ABAG guidance and learn from jurisdictions about their progress on SB 79 to date.
Additionally, please share how your jurisdiction’s thoughts/plans about SB 79 in this implementation tracker. What you share will help us shape this discussion and any future TA. Note that the tracker also includes a tab for relevant resources, which we will continue to build out (and which you are welcome to add to).
